    Very good

This is an older place, typical sea side motel. Room clean/beds comfortable/ lots of storage in our room. Drove to beach/stores but you could walk if you did not have a lot of stuff to carry.Shower clean and water pressure good. Front desk staff very nice. Picky teenage children liked it.....

Screens on windows in poor condition (torn/frame bent) ceiling fan needs to be balanced (looked like it would take off from ceiling) don't count on a filling breakfast experience......no room a/c (we did not need, but since you could not leave windows open due to screen condition, this may be a problem for others)

    Superb

I have been staying at The Dolphin Inn with my Husband for years. It is the only affordable place left to stay in Cayucos. The owners are friendly and it's a very short walk to beach access.

It's not what you would call luxurious, but it has everything you need for a few days of a beach getaway.

    Fabulous

A bargain at $49 per night midweek. A very basic old-school place with limited amenities and dated furniture/decor, but with a clean and comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Short walk to main drag and beach.

Walls are thin. You will know if neighbouring rooms are occupied.

    Superb

The Dolphin Inn is old but is in the process of being renovated. It is clean, the bed was comfortable. There was a microwave and refrigerator both of which were clean and functioning more than I can say for a major chain we stayed in that cost more than twice as much.

    Fabulous

The owners are obviously working to spruce the place up. It's not quite finished. My room needed a new shower door; the one I had only closed if you stuck a wad of toilet paper between the door and the frame. It's an old property, about a block from the beach and right on the main drag within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The owners were very friendly and helpful. I'd stay there again.

There were two obnoxious young boys making a lot of noise and disturbing everyone. I asked the owners to speak to them, but nothing improved.

    Fabulous

considering at the beach, walking distance to beach and dining....$87 inclusive was a great deal for a summer night

    Very good

    the location to the beach

the room was crowded and difficult to move around in. The tub shower was great, but can only be enter from the back, over a pretty high wall. Decor is unattractive, need to be updated, simplified.

Its location by the ocean and near Road 1.

Breakfast was included but began at 8 , too late for us, so we had to do without it.

    Fabulous

The town of Cayucos is one of the greatest places on earth. We were there for a wedding and The Dolphin had a room available for us. We needed a nights lodging within walking distance and this was perfect. 2 beds, dog friendly and right across the street from our favorite breakfast.

It could use a whole lot of work, but that is the charm of the place.

    Very good

I liked that it was within walking distance to the beach and the main part of town.

It's an older place and very small. The mattress was uncomfortable for my husband and he woke up with a sore back. We stayed during the off- season and the place was quiet but I am guessing during the height of the tourist season it would be noisy since we could easily hear the people in the next room.
